Topic: "From Rocks to Reconciliation: Stage 5, Are We There Yet?"


Dean Jacobs will speak about his over four decades of public service working: to help preserve and conserve natural and cultural heritage;to restore the rights and improve the governance capacity;and to promote the sustainable development and community well-being of the Walpole Island First Nation (WIFN) within its homeland. The presentation will address “how far we have come”, who is being left behind, challenges and future opportunities. In addition this presentation will outline the archaeological nature of WIFN’s approach to the Archaeological Stage IV issues in relation to the Ambassador Bridge Replacement Project.
