From Truth to Reconciliation: Redefining Archaeology in Ontario


The theme of the 2017 Annual Symposium of the OAS in Brantford, Ontario was From Truth to Reconciliation: Redefining Archaeology in Ontario. A Nations United session was held on the Friday of the symposium with Indigenous heritage representatives and community members from across Ontario sharing their perspectives on the relationship between archaeologists and First Peoples.

The Ontario Archaeological Society is pleased to share a recommendations report and the proceedings of the Nations United session and other relevant sessions. All transcripts in the proceedings are reproduced with the permission of the original speakers. Thank you to all participants for a powerful and enlightening session.
