The Ontario Archaeological Society's 50th Annual Symposium will be held in Southampton in the treaty territory of Saugeen Ojibway Nation (Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation) and near the home of the Historic Saugeen Métis. Most events will happen at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre and Southampton Town Hall from November 3rd to the 5th. We hope to also take the opportunity to celebrate this amazing OAS milestone together!
This in-person symposium will include a Friday evening reception at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton and a Saturday reception and awards ceremony at the Southampton Town Hall.
The theme is “Maawnjidwin: 50 Years of Gathering, Where Yesterday Meets Tomorrow”.
Online registration is now closed. Registration at the door will be available beginning Friday November 3 at 1:00 pm in the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre Lobby. Please note that registration for the Saturday Night Reception and Awards Ceremony can only be booked through online registration and is no longer available.
