Topic: IROQUOIAN BONE AND ANTLER TECHNOLOGY

Bruce Jamieson received his university education at Carleton University and McMaster University. Bruce’s specialization is St. Lawrence Iroquoian archaeology. A couple of years ago, he completed his doctoral dissertation on Iroquoian bone technology at McGill University in Montreal.


He has extensive fieldwork experience (1971 – 1988) in Ontario, Quebec, the Yukon and the Arctic.

He has worked at the Museum of Man (CMH) and the McCord Museum. 


Between 1990 and 2013, he worked for the Canadian federal government departments of Canadian Heritage, Human Resources and Social Development, and Citizenship and Immigration.
